Here’s how the Nuki Door Sensor works

1. Install the Nuki Door Sensor - The Nuki Door Sensor consists of a sensor and a magnet. The sensor is glued to the door frame. The magnet is attached to the door.
2. Set it up using the Nuki app - The sensor is very easily to set up with the help of the Nuki app’s step-by-step guide.
3. Connect via Bluetooth - The Nuki Door Sensor will then connect to the Smart Lock 3.0 (Pro) via Bluetooth.
4. View the door status in the app - You will then see the status of your door (closed or open) in your Nuki app in addition to the status of the locking cylinder (locked or unlocked).
5. Always in the know – alerts for open doors - You can choose to be notified when the door has been open for a while, the locked door is opened or the door is locked while open.

The Nuki Door Sensor consists of a magnet and a magnetic sensor. This sensor makes it possible to reliably detect the status of the door (open/closed). The magnetic sensor is affixed to the door frame on the interior side of your front door. The magnet is attached to the door. The set-up (activation/calibration) is carried out through the Nuki app. Simply follow the instructions.

You can also view the status of your door sensor via Nuki Web. However, the door sensor can only be set up using the Nuki app, because you have to be within Bluetooth range of your Smart Lock 3.0 (Pro).
