Algo IP Visual Alerters
Algo IP Visual Alerters are network-based strobe lights designed to provide eye-catching visual notifications for telephone ringing, safety, security, and emergency alerting within VoIP (Voice over IP) systems. These devices are built to complement or replace audible alerts in environments where noise, noise sensitivity, or hearing impairment makes traditional audio solutions less effective. They’re widely used in settings like schools, hospitals, factories, and offices, integrating seamlessly with unified communication and mass notification platforms.
Core Features Across Models
- SIP Integration: Registers as a SIP endpoint with platforms like Microsoft Teams, Cisco, or RingCentral, enabling activation via phone calls or pre-set triggers.
- Multicast: Scales notifications across multiple devices without extra SIP licenses—one registered unit can broadcast to many, syncing flash patterns.
- Power over Ethernet (PoE): Uses 802.3af (or 802.3at for higher power) via a single Ethernet cable, simplifying setup.
- High Visibility: Long-life LEDs (rated for 34+ years of continuous use) deliver bright, attention-grabbing light, adjustable for intensity and pattern.
- Security: Encrypted communication via TLS/SRTP and network authentication (802.1X).
- Customization: Configurable flash patterns, colors (on 8x38), and triggers (e.g., ring detection, emergency alerts) via web interface or Algo Device Management Platform (ADMP).
How They Work
- Telephone Ringing: Assigned a SIP Ring extension, the alerter flashes when a call comes in—ideal for noisy or quiet zones (e.g., a factory or library).
- Paging: On a SIP Page extension, it auto-answers and flashes during voice announcements, syncing with Algo IP speakers if paired.
- Emergency Alerts: Pre-set SIP Emergency Alert extensions trigger flashing for events like lockdowns or evacuations, often with multicast to cover wide areas.
- Standalone or Paired: Can operate solo for silent alerting or alongside speakers for combined audio-visual impact.
