Next-Generation Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7

The Grandstream GWN7072 is a high-performance tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router designed for homes, home offices and small-to-medium business environments that require high wireless performance and multi-gigabit wired networking. Operating across the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands, the GWN7072 delivers aggregate wireless speeds of up to 11Gbps. Wi-Fi 7 technologies including 4K-QAM, Multi-Link Operation (MLO), Multi-RU (MRU), preamble puncturing and channel widths up to 320MHz help increase network capacity, improve efficiency and reduce latency in demanding wireless environments.

10GbE and Multi-Gigabit Wired Connectivity

The GWN7072 is built to take advantage of modern multi-gigabit internet and local networks. It provides a 10GbE Combo WAN port which can operate using either RJ45 Ethernet or SFP+, together with a 2.5GbE autosensing WAN/LAN port and three dedicated 2.5GbE LAN ports. With up to 10Gbps NAT throughput, the GWN7072 is well suited to high-speed internet services, NAS systems, servers, high-bandwidth workstations and other network applications where standard Gigabit Ethernet can become a bottleneck.

Expandable Grandstream Mesh Networking

For larger installations, the GWN7072 supports Grandstream intelligent mesh networking with up to 16 mesh nodes, allowing wireless coverage to be expanded while maintaining seamless roaming throughout the network. The GWN7072 from AV Mart Australia supports up to 128 concurrent Wi-Fi clients, up to 16 SSIDs and a stated wireless coverage area of up to 175m². Actual wireless coverage will vary depending on building construction, interference, device placement and the surrounding environment.

Advanced Routing, VPN and Network Management

The GWN7072 includes features normally associated with business-class networking equipment, including Dual WAN, VLAN support, application-aware QoS, DPI traffic analysis and extensive VPN functionality. Dual WAN can be configured for failover, load balancing or standby operation. VPN support extends to up to 50 VPN tunnels, with support for technologies including IPsec, OpenVPN, WireGuard, SSL VPN, L2TP and PPTP. Grandstream specifies IPsec throughput of up to 1.2Gbps and NAT throughput of up to 10Gbps.

Advanced Security and Content Control

Security features include DoS attack defence, firewall controls, blocklists, URL filtering, URL classification filtering, application filtering and secure boot. For home environments, the GWN7072 also provides parental controls including internet scheduling, Safe Search, website filtering, application filtering and URL blocklists.

Flexible Local and Remote Management

The GWN7072 can be managed directly through its built-in local web interface or centrally using Grandstream's network management platforms. Management options include GDMS Networking, Grandstream's free cloud management platform for GWN routers, GWN Manager for premise-based management, the GWN App and the Grandstream Home App.
