Expanding Coverage with the GWN7660EM Mesh Access Point

For users who need to extend coverage beyond what a single router can provide, Grandstream also offers the GWN7660EM, a Wi-Fi 6 wall-plug mesh access point designed to work seamlessly with the GWN7062E and GWN7062ET.

Unlike the GWN7062ET, the GWN7660EM is not a router — it’s an access point and mesh node. Its role is to expand wireless coverage into areas with weak signal, such as garages, upstairs rooms, or distant offices, without running additional cabling.

The GWN7660EM supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 performance and can be quickly added to an existing Grandstream mesh network. Simply pair it with a compatible Grandstream router or AP and it will extend the same network name and settings, creating a seamless roaming experience for users. This makes it a practical option for homes and small offices that are happy with their main router’s performance but need stronger and more consistent coverage in harder-to-reach areas.
